Belvedere secured a fantastic semi final victory over Ilton to book a place in the Somerset Cup final for the first time in the clubs history.
Defending 142, Belvedere produced their best fielding performance for years to leave an exasperated Ilton 20 runs short. The bowling quartet of Brian Hosey, Andy Loud, Waddington Mwayenga and Rob Tasker bowled superbly, and were well supported by all fielders. The fine fielding performance was typified by Loud and Mwayenga who linked up well for a run out and Dave Taylor, who held on to two fine catches on the boundary.
Earlier on Gary Gullick, Neil Chadwick, Joe Gadd and Ian Tasker all batted well to post what proved to be a competitive and winning total.
Many thanks to all club members who made the long, early moring trip to Ilton to offer support.
